Do I need to be a member to come and play/learn at Newbies Bridge Club?
No. Whether it is for bridge lessons, supervised, gentle/social or duplicate sessions, you do not need to be a Newbies Bridge Club member. The session times and fees for casual visitors are updated regularly on this site.
Do I need a partner?
No. If you arrive 15 minutes early and speak to whomsoever is in charge, they can find you a suitable bridge partner to play with.
Can I park close to the bridge club/ how do I get to you?
Yes. There is plenty of parking behind the building, and the number 12 and 18 buses stop right outside the front door. More information about getting to us can be found on our location page.
Do I need to take anything to my beginners class or my lesson?
No. Everything you will need to learn bridge will be provided by NBC.
Do I need to book lessons in advance?
Yes. We like to know you’re coming to learn to play bridge with us so that we can ensure tutors and partners are available for you.
Do you serve food?
Yes. There is a freshly stocked cafe counter and a fully licensed bar available to all players.
Also, our NBC members have free access to our fabulous buffet during dinner time sessions.
At Newbies Bridge Club, there is a designated lunch break during the daytime sessions. During the Saturday afternoon session we provide a FREE tea to all players – nibbles, sandwiches, cakes etc.
